Required Training
The IRB Policies and Procedures indicate required training and include links to free training should researchers not already have training completed. This documentation should be included for each researcher listed on the protocol form. The policy is reproduced below:
Required Training
Training and supervision of staff and students participating in the research;
a. Proposal submissions should be accompanied by proof of human subject research training
certification. If no certification is available, training will need to be completed
before the proposal can be approved.
b. Human Research Protection Foundational Training through the hhs.gov website provides

1. Researchers should complete lessons one through four and submit certification
with their proposal.
2. IRB members should complete lessons one through five and submit certification
to the IRB Chair.
